You will need a wedding license to get legally married in Las Vegas. This license must be obtained in person at the Clark County Office, picked up, and paid for – the fee is $ 102.

To recertify your marriage at home, you will need the wedding certificate and the Apostille, which confirms the authenticity of the international wedding certificate. Both of these can also be obtained through the Clark County Office.

It will be easier if you leave all this to us – we will gladly take care of the application for the wedding license, the wedding certificate, and the Apostille for you. And for those who want the complete document package, you can also book the affidavit (= real sworn insurance) and the translation of the documents by a state-approved translator. MARRIAGE LICENSE - FOR LEGALLY BINDING WEDDING

First, you need a Marriage License provided by the Marriage License Office. We will gladly take care of the application for you without additional costs. The license is the most essential document for your upcoming wedding. You must bring it with you to the wedding ceremony. Otherwise, you only need your passports – birth certificates or similar are unnecessary.

Divorced or widowed? Then, you only need to know the exact date of the divorce or bereavement when applying for the license.

The fee for the license (currently about 102$) is paid directly to the Marriage License Bureau with a credit card.

CERTIFICATE & APOSTILLE

After the wedding ceremony, your minister will register the wedding in the Clark County Office register. As soon as this is done (a maximum of 10 days), we can order your wedding certificate and the Apostille (= certification for international documents) by the express procedure. In 3-4 weeks, we will send you these documents with insured shipping so you can have your marriage post-certified at your local registry office. You can also change your last name and tax class there if you want to.

Important: The wedding date is always the date of marriage in Las Vegas, not the date of registration at home!

Translation

Some registrars/registrar’s offices also require translating the certified copy of the marriage certificate and the Apostille. Before you travel to Las Vegas, we can order the translation ahead of time.

WHAT HAPPENS back home?

The question we probably answer the most: Yes, the wedding in Las Vegas is legally binding, if you have applied and submitted all applicable documents.

When you are back home, you simply make an appointment at the relevant registry office or authority and apply for a subsequent certification of your marriage, if necessary. Then, the marriage is also registered in your home country.
